Deborah Petersen - Director
Deborah Petersen, LNHA, MHA, NJCALA joined our organization in January of 2020. A licensed nursing home administrator since May of 1995, Deborah brings over 25 years of successful operations experience to Cedar Knolls Adult Medical Day Center. Deborah holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication as well as a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Seton Hall University, South Orange, NJ. In her spare time she likes to take ballroom dancing lessons and attend movies. She believes in treating all clients like they are her own grandparents and ensures that the clients have a wonderful and enjoyable customer service experience on a daily basis.
Hannah Yan, RN - Director of Nursing
Hannah Yan, RN (Registered Nurse) joined our organization in November of 2020 on a part-time basis. Not even a year later, she was promoted to the position of full-time Director of Nursing. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Ramapo College, Mahwah, NJ and R.N. certificate from UMDNJ, Newark, NJ. A strong and astute clinician, she brings to
our organization many years of experience in home and community-based services. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons as well as listening to music.
Dr. Serena Q. Lee - Medical Consultant
Dr. Serena Q. Lee joined the organization in April of 2019. She is an internist who also has a specialty in Infectious Disease. She is based out of Parsippany and makes weekly house calls to our Center to ensure that our clients stay well, active and engaged.
Margaret Mann, LSW - Licensed Social Worker
Margaret Mann, LSW (Licensed Social Worker) joined our organization in November of 2019. She has been working with the elderly since 1996. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Kean University, Union, NJ as well as a Master’s degree in Social Work from Columbia University, New York, NY. In her capacity as a social worker she enjoys spending her time talking and interacting with clients daily. She assists them with accessing community support services to enable them to continue to live in the community as independently as possible and age in place. She’s honored to learn from our clients about their cultures,
religions, personal experiences, and life journeys. In her leisure time she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter. In addition, she especially loves to read fiction novels.
Mindy Sabino, ADCP - Activity Director Certified Provisional
Mindy Sabino, ADCP (Activity Director Certified Provisional) joined our organization in April of 2019. She has been working with the elderly for over 25 years. She attended Middlesex Community College and received national certification from the Council for Activity Professionals. She enjoys improving the quality of life for our day center clients through daily exercise class, bingo, and other activities. She loves our clients and finds her job to be very rewarding. She enjoys crafting, singing and spending time with her husband and son.
